Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 21, 2026
Bridal Lock (“Bridal Lock,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is an iPhone app designed to help users reduce wedding-planning overwhelm by creating a daily focus window that limits distractions using Apple's Screen Time technologies. This Privacy Policy explains how Bridal Lock handles information when you use the app.
1. How Bridal Lock works
Bridal Lock uses Apple's Screen Time-related frameworks to help enforce user-selected app restrictions during a planning or focus window. App blocking and related enforcement are intended to occur on your device, based on permissions you grant through Apple's system controls. Apple describes the Screen Time API suite as including Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity.
2. Information we collect
We aim to keep data collection minimal.
Bridal Lock does not intentionally collect or store:
- your messages
- your photos
- your contacts
- your browsing content
- the contents of other apps
- a personal profile or account in Bridal Lock
- analytics for advertising purposes
Information stored locally on your device may include:
- your selected focus window settings
- your app blocking selections or related configuration tokens provided through Apple's Screen Time system
- your in-app preferences and progress needed for the app to function
This local information is used to operate the app on your device and is not used by us to build advertising profiles.
3. Subscriptions and payments
Bridal Lock offers subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple handles billing, payment processing, and management of your App Store subscription under Apple's own terms and privacy practices. Apple states that it collects personal data to provide purchased content and process store transactions.
We use RevenueCat as a service provider to help validate purchases and determine subscription status. RevenueCat's Apple guidance states that developers using its SDK generally need to disclose data use related to app functionality for receipt validation and entitlements, and may need broader disclosure depending on enabled features.
4. Third-party services
Bridal Lock may rely on the following third parties to operate core subscription functionality:
- Apple - for App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and Screen Time permission frameworks
- RevenueCat - for subscription status, receipt handling, and purchase-related entitlement management
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app at this time.
5. Analytics and diagnostics
We do not currently use our own analytics platform to track your behavior in Bridal Lock.
However, Apple and our service providers may process limited technical or transaction-related information as necessary to provide app distribution, subscription functionality, fraud prevention, diagnostics, or service operation under their own policies. For example, RevenueCat's documentation notes use for receipt validation and entitlements, and Apple provides purchase and store infrastructure.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data.
We may share limited information only with service providers that help operate core app functionality, such as Apple and RevenueCat, and only to the extent needed for subscriptions, purchase validation, security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, or legal compliance.
7. Data retention
Because Bridal Lock is designed to work primarily on-device and does not provide user accounts, most app settings remain on your device unless you delete the app or change them yourself.
Third-party providers such as Apple and RevenueCat may retain transaction or service-related information according to their own retention practices and legal obligations. Apple states it retains transaction-related personal data for as long as necessary for the relevant purposes or as required by law.
8. Your choices
You can control Bridal Lock's access and behavior by:
- granting or revoking Screen Time-related permissions through Apple's system settings
- managing or canceling subscriptions through your Apple account
- deleting the app from your device
If you contact us with a privacy request, we will do our best to help and, where appropriate, direct you to Apple or RevenueCat for data they control.
9. Children's privacy
Bridal Lock is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above.
